Valrita Fournier is a historical fiction novelist, award-winning playwright, composer, painter, spiritual writer and event producer. She was co-winner of a human rights award and an advocate for social justice. She worked for the Canadian Federal government and the Ontario Government in various communications and management services before becoming a minister. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a major in English Language and Literature and also studied at U. Laval and the U. of Windsor. Originally from Northern Ontario, she now lives in the S.W. of the Province with her family.
